Micro Lesson Plan 

·         Lesson Plan: I. Rationale & II. Overview Reflections: Assessing Prior Knowledge and Planning Instructions:

o   What do the students need to know prior to the lesson?

They need to know to sort out things/organize their thoughts based on the attributes which are common to them.

o   How will prior knowledge and experience be assessed?

It will be assessed during the introduction so teacher can be aware of what is known by the students. This will be done when teacher starts students by sorting each other in similar colors of shoes, clothes, etc.

o   How will you use this information in the planning process?

This will be used by making sure if pairings needs to be done to help each other or if another review lesson needs to be taught before sorting.

o   When will the lesson be taught in the course of the school year? Why?

This will be taught early in the year.

o   How do the instructional methods align with what you know about best practices (think about your methods classes)?

o   How are you engaging students in creative and higher order thinking?

·         Lesson Plan: IV. Assessment Reflection: Planning Assessment:

o   How does the assessment demonstrate that the students have been successful in learning the content? 

The assessment that is given to the students in through the iready math application and teacher will lookover the results that is given to them and also will look at the completed worksheet to students. 

o   How does the assessment demonstrate that the individual student needs were met?

It lets the teacher know what each student needs to work on and if it was understood and who may need more help.

o   How does your lesson meet ISTE Standards?

§  ISTE Standards for Educators (The technology standards you should meet as a teacher)

These standards are met by the teacher being aware of them and taking them into consideration for the students.

§  ISTE Standards for Students (The technology standards you should help your future students meet)

1.1 Empowered learner is met because students are achieving competency in learning goals and the app customizes their learning environment to achieve these goals.
